MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC1)

This five-day course forms part of the Under 16.5m Skippers Ticket. Choosing the five-day rather than two-day Engine Course and the Navigation and Watchkeeping Courses means that your Skippers Ticket will allow you to fish beyond 20nm from a safe haven.

Course Certification and Compliance

Seafood Cornwall Training on behalf of the MCA will issue a course certificate to those who complete the course successfully.

MCA Approved Engine Course Part 2 (AEC 2)

Part 2 (AEC 2) is a five–day course which leads on from the foundations laid and knowledge learned in the Approved Engine Course Part 1 (AEC1).

Candidates for AEC2 must have already completed AEC1 or an equivalent.

You will be learning through both theory and hands-on practical training. Our skilled and friendly tutors will illustrate and support your learning with examples and tips from real-life.
